What is the Shift Manager role?

Can any Lidl employee apply to be a Shift Manager?

No. In order to be eligible you must:

  • Have worked as a Duty Manager (employees in probation will be considered)
  • Have worked as a Co-ordinator/Mentor (employees still in probation will not be considered)
  • Have worked as a Deputy Store Manager
OR

  • Have worked as a Customer Assistant for at least 2 years

If I am offered the role of Shift Manager, what will my salary be?

You will be paid £1 on top of your current hourly rate. So, if you are paid £8.75 per hour then your Shift Manager salary will be £9.75 per hour.

Do I need my CV to apply?

No, you don’t need your CV but during the application we will ask for contact information and your employee number (which you can find on your payslip).

How do I find out which vacancies are available in my region/store?

If you click on the link ‘shift manager vacancies in your region’ you can search to see what vacancies are available.

Will I have to attend an interview?

The first stage of the Shift Manager recruitment process will be a telephone screening followed by a short face to face interview.

Can I apply for more than one vacancy?

Yes, you can apply up to a maximum of 5 vacancies in your region (you will only be invited to attend one interview).

What if I apply and don’t get the job – can I try again?

Of course, you will receive feedback from your interview and after 6 months can apply to any new Shift Manager vacancy in your region.
