Do you need to complete a work placement as part of your college course? Are you on track to achieving a 2.1 or higher in a food science or related degree?  The Food Safety Authority of Ireland is seeking to fill a number of placement opportunities during 2025/2026. These are being offered to current 3rd level students wanting to gain relevant experience in the food safety area.
By joining the FSAI team as a placement student, you will gain an excellent understanding and appreciation of how food safety regulation works. You will get the opportunity to develop vital skills that will support your studies and future career while working with a team of FSAI specialists. You will be involved in project work and research, gaining valuable on-the-job practical experience and getting exposure to a range of FSAI work activities and learning opportunities.
These placement opportunities will be of interest to you if you are looking to gain relevant experience in your field of interest. Placements will be available at different times throughout the year and for varying durations.
