Meet the team
Platform Control is driven by the accurate scheduling of daily programming, and the Transmission Editor will be responsible for the daily transmission and operation of all current and future RTÉ services. As a Transmission Editor, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the technical, operational and output of content across all platforms.

Platform Control Supervisor
, you will be joining a proactive, forward-thinking and collaborative team, setting the standard for excellent innovation.
About the role:
Running and monitoring playlists across all RTÉ services, including all associated services such as subtitling and audio description, to ensure successful playout.
Taking responsibility for any operational issues that need to be addressed, resolved, or escalated as appropriate.
Ensuring full compliance with all technological & operational requirements in your area.
Building positive relationships by taking a proactive, professional and supportive approach when dealing with issues.
Liaising with key stakeholders & third parties positively and effectively.
Working with the Platform Control Supervisor and the Platform Control team to improve service delivery.
About you:
Professional knowledge and experience of playout systems, workflows, processes and delivery, ideally with experience using Morpheus Automation.
Experience in the management and playout operation of live broadcast events.
Flexible approach to work, open to new ideas and a willingness to try new ways of doing things.
Proactive and positive approach to continuous improvement and career development.

This appointment will be
made at the Transmission Editor grade and is being offered on a 5 month Fixed-Term contract basis. The salary scale for this grade is from €50,308 to €64,479 gross per annum.
