Vhi Group Services DAC have a full time permanent vacancy for the role of Security Administration Analyst within Group Technology Security based in either Dublin or Kilkenny on a hybrid basis. This role involves collaborating with project teams and business to provide IT Security support for the implementation of change initiatives, providing security metrics to key stakeholders, and assisting with audits and regulatory initiatives related to cybersecurity.The primary role of the Security Administration Analyst is to bridge the gap between business, IT, and IT Security. This involves identifying and analysing security requirements and translating them into actionable outcomes. Additionally, the Analyst will support the creation of security metrics and engage in audits and regulatory compliance activities.The successful candidate must embrace a culture of continuous improvement with strong collaboration, communication, employee engagement and empowerment skills.Role purpose- Champion IT Security in business engagements, bridging the gap between technical security challenges and business objectives
- Business analysis support for IT Security
- Assist in drafting the Business Impact Assessments for the Change Governance process
- Facilitate internal and external audits by documenting and gathering security controls evidence
- Support responses to regulatory and corporate group scheme IT Security queries
- Manage and review security findings in GRC
- Creation and ongoing maintenance of IT Security metrics
- Review and update IT Security controls
Key criteriaEducation and knowledge- Relevant third level qualification and/or business analyst professional qualification
- Knowledge of collaboration tools and a willingness to learn new ways of working
- Successful track record as business analyst with minimum 3 plus years’ experience.
- Experience working in IT Security and understanding of security control frameworks e.g. NIST CSF highly beneficial.
- Experience in eliciting requirements, writing epics and user stories.
Skills and abilities- Translating business requirements to epics, functional specifications, and user stories.
- As is/To be process and flow diagram creation - desirable.
- Experience in dealing with senior level management, compliance, and risk functions as well as audit and regulatory organisations.
- Strong stakeholder focus – able to meet the demands of internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical, and impactful manner.
- Ability to stay calm, composed, and focused and maintain effective relationships and decision-making capabilities during periods of high pressure
- Passion for cyber security, willingness and aptitude for continuous learning and desire to contribute to the protection of VHI services and our customer sensitive information
